Copper and Steel.

A part of Murmurations, a collaborative project between Elizabeth Clough and Sophie Rigg culminating in a permanent sculptural work and an artwork to cover 24m of windows on the front of Manor Park Library, London E6.

Elizabeth made the sculpture by hand. It uses simple engineering, basic materials and playful forms which together convey Elizabeths interest in hands on making and practical, unpolished or unpretentious works of art.

Initial ideas were developed as part of the Shape Newham project, through conversations and workshops with local people around the subject of weather and the importance of wind generated energy.

Commissioned by The London Borough of Newham, AOC Architects.
